Vale Maurice Brady

We have sad news Members and Supporters

Vale to our BMUC member Maurice Brady who devoted his life to fighting for a better life for his family and our community, particularly the vulnerable amongst us.

Moz died at 2.30pm 2nd January 2017, surrounded by his loved ones.

Moz and his family have asked that he be remembered by donation to a fundraising account to assist women and children escaping domestic violence. They have asked that instead of flowers a donation is made to the fund which will be set up when his family are ready to do so. This was a cause very close to Moz's heart.

We will share the details of the fundraising account when we know them.

Moz was a valued member of our organisation and he was thinking of others right until the end. You may recall BMUC's involvement in the Anti Poverty Forum in Katoomba with keynote speaker St Vincent de Paul CEO John Falzon late last year. What you may not know is that Moz did much of the organisation of that event from his hospital bed in Sydney.

In this case it's really true that the good die too young.
